Welcome to ResuBoost. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By creating an account or using ResuBoost, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Description of Service

ResuBoost is an AI-powered platform that helps you optimize your resume and create cover letters. Our services include:

  • Resume analysis and optimization suggestions
  • AI-generated resume content (bullet points, summaries)
  • Cover letter generation
  • ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility scoring
  • Document export in various formats

Account Terms

Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use ResuBoost
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • One person or entity per account (no sharing accounts)

Account Security

We use magic link authentication (passwordless login via email). You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining access to your registered email address
  • Not sharing login links with others
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

Acceptable Use

You agree to use ResuBoost only for lawful purposes. You will NOT:

  • Provide false information: Fabricate work experience, education, or credentials in your resume
  • Misuse AI-generated content: Claim AI-generated content represents experiences you never had
  • Violate others' rights: Include copyrighted material, confidential information from employers, or others' personal data
  • Abuse the service: Attempt to overload, hack, or reverse-engineer our systems
  • Resell access: Share, resell, or redistribute your account or our services
  • Automate access: Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access our service

Content Accuracy

Important: While our AI helps optimize how you present your experience, you are responsible for ensuring all information in your resume and cover letters is truthful and accurate. AI-generated suggestions should enhance, not fabricate, your actual experience.

Your Content

Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you provide to ResuBoost (your resume data, cover letters, etc.). We do not claim ownership of your content.

License to Us

By using our service, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store your content on our servers
  • Process your content with AI to provide our services
  • Display your content back to you
  • Create exports and documents as you request

This license exists only to provide you with our services. We will not use your content for any other purpose without your consent.

AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI (optimized bullets, summaries, cover letters) becomes yours to use. However:

  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI suggestions
  • AI may occasionally produce errors or inappropriate content
  • Final responsibility for your documents rests with you

Payment Terms

Free Trial

We offer a free trial that includes limited use of our services. No credit card is required for the free trial.

Paid Subscriptions

  • Billing: Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or one-time basis depending on the plan selected
  • Auto-renewal: Monthly subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • Price changes: We may change prices with 30 days notice. Existing subscriptions will continue at the current rate until renewal.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

  • You retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • Your data remains accessible (you can export it)
  • After your subscription ends, you'll revert to free tier limitations

Disclaimers

No Employment Guarantee

ResuBoost does not guarantee job interviews, offers, or employment. We provide tools to help you present your qualifications more effectively, but hiring decisions are made by employers based on many factors beyond our control.

AI Limitations

Our AI-powered features have limitations:

  • AI may produce inaccurate or inappropriate suggestions
  • ATS scores are estimates based on common patterns, not guarantees
  • AI cannot verify the accuracy of information you provide
  • Results may vary based on industry, role, and specific employers

Always review AI-generated content carefully before using it.

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee:

  • 100% uptime or availability
  • Error-free operation
  • Compatibility with all browsers or devices
  • Preservation of data in all circumstances

We recommend exporting and backing up your important documents regularly.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • ResuBoost is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not responsible for employment decisions made by third parties

Plain language: We do our best to provide a helpful service, but we can't be held responsible for things beyond our control, like whether an employer hires you.

Intellectual Property

ResuBoost's service, including our website, software, templates, and branding, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy or reproduce our software or templates for redistribution
  • Use our branding or trademarks without permission
  • Reverse engineer our systems or AI prompts

Your own content (resume data, etc.) remains yours.

Termination

By You

You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon closure, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Abuse our service or other users
  • Fail to pay for subscription services

We will provide notice before termination when reasonable, except in cases of severe violations.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

  • Posting the updated Terms with a new date
  • Sending you an email notification for material changes

Continued use of ResuBoost after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
